Vox scripts work the same way as [[Demo]] at the moment, so please read there.

A lot of these are dialogue from Radio calls, but the subtitles are not read from here. There is no need to modify them, as the RADIO.DAT overrides the subtitles here.

What we do need to modify in VOX is any in-game dialogues that appear. For example:

  • Opening on the Helipad: When Mei Ling explains the radar, or when Snake analyzes his approach before giving player control.
  • “A Surveillance Camera?” – When Snake speaks in-game.
  • Other short cutscenes such as:
    • Finding Johnny in the cells
    • Telling Meryl to Shoot!
    • Traveling in Cardboard Boxes
    • Boss banter.

Basically anything where subtitles appear during gameplay sequences (or interactive demos) is here.
